Xpanse is proud to announce it has passed the safety, health and environment qualification assessment of one of the world’s largest mining giants. This independently commissioned review seeks to verify that Xpanse is actively managing and maintaining their safety management system in line with industry-standard AS 4801:2001 compliance regulations. AS NZS 4801:2001 has been designed to help organisations establish and maintain a system of management to improve the welfare, health and safety of employees at the workplace. Not only does this audit continue to allow Xpanse to work across remote mine sites, but it recognises Xpanse’s ongoing commitment to maintaining the safety and well-being of our staff and customers.

NetApp held the first of its 2015 technical conferences at Las Vegas in October. The conference, called NetApp Insight, is NetApp’s forum to announce upcoming releases. The focus on this year’s event is NetApp’s Data Fabric, the pathway for seamless integration of storage between your devices and your clouds. The highlight of NetApp’s Data Fabric is the announcement of SnapMirror integration in NetApp’s storage suite, starting with AltaVault. NetApp’s co-founder David Hitz demoed the restoration of a database direct from an AltaVault backup in the public cloud to a FAS controller in a matter of seconds. This will all made possible with the upcoming support of SnapMirror in AltaVault. With SnapMirror support, NetApp has the answer for Data Fabric to your cloud.

A huge thank you to NetApp for hosting a wonderful evening for the NetApp Partner Awards last night. Xpanse Sales Director Malcolm Cole and Account Manager Tarran Merlo attended the Sydney event and while we didn’t scoop the big awards, we are honoured to have been selected as a finalist amongst such well respected IT Companies. We congratulate last night’s winners and thank everyone for their support regarding the news of our nomination.
